Learn how to get some killer abs.
Since after the release of the movie 300, every man and his dog wants to get wash board abs.
I don’t blame them.
Except for one small problem.
The movie 300 had CGI effects throughout and I’m sure the producers made a point in using computer visuals to chisel out each and every 12 pack that you saw.
So in other words, it’s really not realistic to expect that you’re going to get that kind of muscle definition in reality.
However, that’s not to say you’re not going to be able to get great toned abs either if you follow the instructions provided here.
Abs are at the core of the body. They’re the first thing every woman looks at when you take your shirt off, on the beach or in the bedroom. If you’re prepared to get that six-pack you’ve only dreamed of, it’s vital to start a weekly ab routine today. For optimal results, it’s best to exercise abs two times a week. To increase the strength of the abdominal muscles and allow for proper resting time, a two to three day gap between each ab workout is vital.
Upon, or before, each ab workout, one cardiovascular exercise should be implemented into each day of your bi-weekly ab workout. Cardiovascular exercises are just as important as the ab-building exercises when trying to obtain a flat, defined core. Cardio exercises cut down the fat that hides the definition of your abs and allow your abs to press against the skin. Basically, cardio exercises, in whatever form – running, biking, elliptical training, etc. – make visible the abs you work to strengthen. Here are some gut-busting exercises that should be combined on the two days you choose to work your abs. It’s time to get start getting sexy.
Effective Exercises for Best Ab Workout
Front Plank on Ball
You will need a raised surface like a flat bench and an exercise ball. Place your hands on a flat bench and the top surface of your feet on the exercise ball. Your back should be straight and your body should be slightly angled. Contract your abs when in position, hold for 60 seconds and repeat.
Ball Oblique Crunches
Place either your left or right hip on an exercise ball. To prohibit your body from moving from side to side during the exercise, place your feet against a wall. Be sure to have only your hip touching the ball. If your torso is touching, full range of motion will not be achieved. After you are in position, simply dip down as if you were doing a regular oblique crunch. Hold each rep for three seconds and do 10 reps on each side of your body.
Regular reverse crunches aren’t anything special, but this reverse crunch exercise will work your abs hard. Lie on a bench with just your back and head resting on it. Allow your hips to hang off the end. Pull your knees as close to your chest as you can and hold this position for three seconds before releasing. Do 10 repetitions.
Lay your back on a soft surface like a mat. Lift your legs off of the ground and bend your knees at a 90 degree angle. Extend your arms on the mat to balance yourself during the exercise. To get started, in a windshield-wiping motion, bring either your right or left leg down to the mat. Be sure to not let your hips leave the ground. Contract your abs throughout the exercise and do 10 repetitions on each side for one set.
For this exercise you will have to have a fairly strong lower back. Start laying flat on the ground with your arms extended and hands open above your head. Raise your legs as high as you can while trying to touch your toes with your hands. Hold the position for three seconds and do 10 repetitions.
Lie on a decline bench with your thighs perpendicular to your torso. Like the windshield wipers, your knees should be bent at a 90 degree angle. To begin, carve a “U” out in the air in front of you, moving your legs in a semi-circular motion. Do this motion for 60 seconds. This is a hard, yet extremely effective exercise.
These exercises, combined, make the best ab workout for men. Each exercise within a workout should be done two to three times. Done right, this exercise routine – the best ab workout for men – will give you washboard abs, confidence and, consequently, a lot of female attention. Remember, ab workouts complimented with a healthy diet and cardiovascular routine will give you the best results. Abs are in. Whether you’re going to the beach, the local pool, or just feel like taking your shirt off to get the most out of the shining sun, you’ll always look better with Leonidas-like abs.
